08 Jul New summer-inspired editions of TAG Heuer’s luxury connected watch
Just in time for summer, TAG Heuer has added to its growing collection of impressive connected watches with three new styles that are vibrant in colour and include interchangeable straps.
As one of the first traditional watch brands to release a smart watch, the Swiss luxury watchmaker has been a leader in the connected watch space. The TAG Heuer Connected watch beautifully combines the elegance of a chronograph-inspired timepiece with a state of the art, custom digital experience geared towards daily wellbeing and sports performance.
The three new 45mm models include two stainless-steel options with a deep blue ceramic bezel and have either a sporty blue rubber strap or a steel bracelet, and a third style; lightweight sand-blasted titanium on a black rubber strap. These new models can either be worn in their original look or paired with one of the vividly coloured, interchangeable straps including the new neon yellow and lime green coloured straps. The straps are also available in bright orange, a bold red and khaki green.
A timepiece to suit a busy lifestyle easily transitioning from one setting to the next. The elegant steel look is perfect for business and formal settings, changing to a more sporty variation on a rubber strap; allowing the wearing to go from office to beach or golf course seamlessly.
Simultaneously to releasing the new models TAG Heuer are also introducing a variety of new luminous dial designs, available to all generations of the Connected watches. The new digital watch faces include brightly coloured variations of the designs currently available in the core collection, an entirely new watch face named Helios has also been introduced.
The new Helios motif highlights that the Connected is first and foremost a classically elegant and luxury timepiece featuring the tri-compax layout resembling the iconic design of TAG Heuer mechanical chronographs. Named after the Greek god and personification of the Sun, the motif comes in four colours deep blue, peppermint green, cherry red and dark summer night.
Another feature of the new versions is that the wearer can personalise the subsidiary dials on the chronograph opting for stopwatch functions or digital choices celebrating the sun including sunrise and sunset times, a 10-hour weather forecast or to feature a second time-zone. There is also a date window and a subtle indicator of the power reserve.
The TAG Heuer Connected watch is powered with Wear OS by Google and offers an array of services including e-mail and message notifications, Google Pay, Google Translate. The Connected watches have been designed with high-intensity activities in mind and have sapphire screen protection, a battery optimised for sports sessions and a 5 ATM water resistance rating. Using top-of-the-line sensors the watch even offers a non-medical-grade heart-rate sensor that is integrated into the case back which also optimises the tracking of calories burned.
Striking a perfect balance between renowned watchmaking, stunning design and advanced digital technology; the TAG Heuer Connected is an extremely elegant smartwatch, easily customised and changeable. There is a Connected for everyone and every occasion.
The summer styles will be available as of 1 July 2020 at a select network of retailers and TAG Heuer boutiques, as well as at www.tagheuer.com for Australia, Japan, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
